When you Check-in

You will be asked to provide a credit card pre-authorisation to cover the full amount for your stay (if not prepaid) plus £50 to cover incidentals and potential charges.

What is a Pre-Authorisation?

A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold on a specific amount of the available balance on a credit or debit card. It is not a charge, and no funds are debited from your account. It ensures sufficient funds are available to cover any charges incurred during your stay.

When will the Pre-Authorisation be Released?

This varies subject to your credit/debit card issuer. Upon check-out, all outstanding charges will be completed to your card which will appear on your statement within 3 working days. If you choose to change your payment method at check-out, we can cancel the pre-authorisation which may take up to 15-days to clear in your account.

Important Information

A pre-authorisation is a security guarantee for payment; the hotel is NOT charging your credit card.

Pre-authorisations are NOT held by the hotel, they are held by your card's issuing bank.

Whilst pre-authorisations should be released automatically, they can be held by your issuing bank for a minimum of 10 to 15 working days. If not, please contact your bank directly.
